Wow, just wow! My little angel has gotten to be such a big girl! This month has flown by. We did lots of fall activities another pumpkin patch, some more football games where we heard her cousin Brady in the band, got to go to Boo at the zoo with some of our closest friends, had her first Halloween party, had our first real trick or treating experience where Sam got to eat some candy, went to her first concert, and had several play dates. Her favorite foods are strawberries, black olives, fruit snacks, blueberry waffles, yogurt, home made spaghetti, and crackers. She is still adding so many new words, I can’t keep up. She says thank you, but we are still working on please. She will call out for something and I am surprised because I didn’t even realize she knew the name for it. One of her favorite phrases is “where’d it go?”. She can understand me so much better, even though she doesn’t always follow instructions. One of our funniest instances this month was at naptime last week. I laid her down after a couple of cuddles and songs, but she wanted to get “up up”. I told her that I had some things to do, but that I would leave the door open and check on her in a few minutes, she didn’t have to nap, but needed to rest. I heard her kicking the wall and came in and told her that she didn’t need to do that, it was time for nap. She said “ok, night night” and rolled over. I left and a few minutes later heard her kicking the wall again. I started walking toward her room, and said “I know that my sweet girl is sleeping and not kicking momma’s wall again”. By the time I got in the room, Sam had covered her face with her blanket and was pretending to snore. I was glad her face was covered because I couldn’t keep the smile off of my face, and had to leave before I started laughing. She was asleep shortly after that. I get so tickled with all of things she comes up with, and knows. She jumps when I walk in on her doing something she shouldn’t, she hugs when she knows I’m aggravated with her, she just knows. She has decided that the changing table is too high and that she doesn’t like it anymore, so we have taken to changing her in the floor on the changing pad. She is really good about it most times and just sits down when she needs changed, so that has helped with our struggle with diapers. My new favorite thing Sam does is sing. I sing to her every night, and every nap. When she gets fussy in the car we sing, when she is having a meltdown at the store we sing. A couple of weeks ago she started saying “Jesus” during Jesus loves me, and the “so” at the end. Shortly after that she started humming Twinkle Twinkle and sings the “Staw aka Star”. This is what makes me see her as a big girl now instead of just my baby. I am so happy to see her grow up but so sad at the same time. I’m just glad she still loves snuggles and kisses and hugs as much as I do!
My child is amazing. She is kind, and generous, and stubborn, and clumsy, she is perfect and a mess. I love her so much more than I could have ever imagined and hope that she will some day realize how much she means to me… everything!

Dear God,
Thank you for everything you do for us. Thank you for our precious, healthy, happy daughter. Thank you for letting her grow so much each and every month both physically and mentally. Thank you for letting her show me how much fun every little thing can be, and for the patience you give me on the rough days that still end in smiles and hugs. Thank you for watching over us and blessing our family. Thank you for everything you do for us.
AMEN
